These homemade tortillas are flaky, buttery and filled with lots of flavors. They are better than store- bought. they are easy to make with just 6 ingredients .

Ingredients :
450g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
50g vegetable oil or other fairly neutral- flavored oil
20g butter
1 cup of warm water
Instruction :
Combine flour, salt and baking powder in the bowl .
Add oil, butter and water . mix well until all the ingredients come together and Continue to mix until mixture starts to form a smooth ball.
cover and rest for 10 mins.
divide the dough until get 10-12 fairly equal potions. apply some oil on top of the balls cover using cling wrap and rest for at least 30 mins before proceeding.
Transfer a ball to a well floured work surface and flatten with your hand.
After the rest period, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Roll each dough piece into a rough circle, about 6-7 inches inches in diameter, keep work surface and rolling pin lightly floured. Don’t stack uncooked tortillas on top of each other or they will stick together.
When the pan is hot, place one dough circle into the pan and allow to cook until the bottom surface has a few pale brown spots and the uncooked surface is bubbly. Flip to other side and cook for 15-20 seconds. The tortillas should be nice and soft but have a few small brown spots on the surface. You don't want to cook the tortilla too much that it becomes crispy.
Remove from pan and stack in a kitchen towel or covered container to keep the tortillas soft.
If you're freezing them, wait til the tortillas are completely cool before storing them in a ziploc bag.
