Brioche Burger Buns

Homemade Brioche Burger Buns Recipe & Video




Ingredients:


425g plain flour

1 tsp salt

7g instant yeast

30g sugar

20g milk powder

180ml lukewarm milk

1 large egg

40g butter , softned


1 egg for brushing

some sesame seeds





Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  • Combine the flour , yeast , sugar, and warm milk in the bowl . Stir gently to combine.

  • Add the salt and egg to the bowl and mix well. it form a sticky dough.

  • cover dough and let rest for five mins.

  • place the dough on the working surface then mix in the butter pieces and knead for 8 minutes. The dough will be very soft and slightly sticky.

  • cover and place in a warm area for one hour or doubled in size.

  • Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and knead a few times with your hands to form it into a ball. Cut the dough into 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Loosely cover the dough balls with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for 30-40 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • whisk a egg in a bowl with a fork. Remove the towel and brush the tops of the buns with the egg wash. sprinckle some sesame seed and Bake hamburger buns in the oven for 13-15 minutes, until tops are golden.



Notes Brioche buns freeze well. Cool completely, wrap airtight, and freeze for up to 3 months.
